After a long day of camping, nothing beats a homecooked meal. Using a campfire or grill as your heat source, you can cook virtually anything from ooey, gooey S’mores to salty and sweet kettle corn. If you’re hungry for something utterly nourishing like a big pot of stew or soup, consider it done. Camp food doesn’t have to come from the convenience store to be convenient.

Here are some delicious campfire treats for you to sink your teeth into:

Roasted Strawberries in Marshmallow Fluff.

Cheap, easy-to-make, and super satisfying, this sweet treat makes everyone happy. All it requires is whole strawberries with the tops cut off, and a healthy dollop of marshmallow fluff. Roast over the open fire and enjoy!

Campfire S’mores Dip.

The idea behind this treat is the same as making individual S’mores. The difference is that the chocolate and marshmallow is placed on a piece of tin foil and melted over the fire. Then, your camping party is offered an assortment of yummy things to dunk into the ‘dip’. It’s another time that you can break out the strawberries, chunks of pineapple, graham crackers, pretzels, and more.

Campfire Burger Biscuits.

Using a muffin tin and ready-made biscuits in a can, bake your biscuits and set them aside. Then crack an egg in each compartment of the tin. Let them fry until the white is cooked and the yolk is runny. Then cook a tiny hamburger in each of the compartments. Put all the ingredients together and devour them. You’ll need the extra protein to keep yourself warm and comfortable.

Who doesn’t love something hot and delicious while camping? You don’t have to forgo a home-cooked meal because you’re spending time in the Great Outdoors. Instead, you have even more reason to cook food you know your family will enjoy.
